In response to the misuse of government job benefits through forged tribal certificates, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has issued a stern warning. The state government has initiated an investigation into these fraudulent documents. The Chief Minister emphasized that without proper proof, all such fake certificates would be invalidated.
During a government service delivery ceremony in Alipurduar, Mamata Banerjee addressed individuals lacking authentic tribal certificates, urging them to obtain new ones. Recognizing that many tribals lack documentation, she proposed that if one family member possesses a valid certificate, the government can extend the certification to others in the family.
Under a government initiative, tribal individuals can create their certificates, with Mamata Banerjee urging them to participate in the Duare Sarkar camp and nominate family members for certification by January. The Chief Minister also highlighted the ongoing review and cancellation of numerous fake certificates issued in the name of tribals.
